RECORD STORE DAY
We are delighted to announce our plans for Record Store Day this year. As well as selling the limited edition RSD titles from 8am onwards, we're delighted to host live sets from:
ENGLISH TEACHER
Leeds' hotly tipped and rapidly ascending indie band, fresh from appearances at SXSW and a brand new Speedy Wunderground single. Dont miss em!
SCUM
The best punk band in Leeds at the moment. SCUM have been described as sounding like 'the nagging repetitions of The Fall mixed with the fury of Black Flag, played at 100mph'
INDIGNATION MEETING
Punky railfans from Yorkshire. 13 year old Peter is the driver, his enthusiasm for railways being evident in his songs. Peter is the lead singer, drummer and trumpeter - with Dad Michael on guitar, Hugo on bass, and along for the ride too will be Sally and Heather on backing vocals.
TOP SECRET SIGNING SESSION
We are sworn to secrecy on this one, but we will have a couple of very special guests in the shop for an exclusive signing session on the day. Wonder who they could be?
As always we'll be open from 8am sharp on the day, and operating a first come first serve queue. Our neighbours Konga Coffee will be open for coffees and sandwiches early doors to see you through. RSD titles will go live on our website at 10am tomorrow, and set times for the bands to be announced soon. In the meantime, you can view the official list of UK-released titles on the RSD website: Click here We expect to have the vast majority of these titles.
