Artwork is overseen by Michelle Henning with Rob Crane. Mastering by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering, under the guidance of long time PJ Harvey producer John Parish.
'The Hope Six Demolition Project' captures an interesting period in PJ Harvey's career when she invited intense scrutiny of the creative process behind her work. In the month leading up to Valentine's Day 2015, recording sessions were held in full view of the public at Somerset House. This release features some of the demos recorded at that time. Continuing with the socially aware themes that had been present in her recent songs and poetry, she chose to focus on the gentrification of a Washington DC neighbourhood and in doing so rattled cages in the US. Terry Edwards is present and correct, giving the work a brassy edge.
