Like reportage on the current social climate this lyrically nails modern Britain with it's polemics on the grim state of things. Taking a working class narrative it cleverly put's it to music and gives us an essentially Northern take on song craft. If you dig early Wedding Present or I am Kloot then this will be familiar, grim but you can't but smile at the wit. Great band, great musicians, great lyrics and a mischievous take on things...What's not to love!
