Further Information

This is an album. The way I believe albums should be written. Listened to in full. From start to finish. It doesn’t need a hit. It doesn’t need to recoup. It doesn’t need a 6 month roll out strategy, It doesn’t need a bunch of “How-I-Made” vids. And it certainly doesn’t need a video of me showing you how to dance to it.

It’s to make you feel something. I feel the same way with this release as I did when i self-released my first tracks.

Many artists I speak to are frustrated that they ‘have’ to do all these things to get their music heard. I got sent a video of a music manager today, where the suggestion (rage bait or not) was that artists should prioritise their posting schedule over their music and performing…

Authenticity just doesn’t exist anymore. Even this slightly aggressive album announcement has been read and edit 3 times by different people. I’m not sure when music became secondary to advertising, but in order for that to change, artists need to take back the space and do what they want. Release what they want, thats when interesting shit happens.

I can’t imagine there will be any live clips to use to promote this release. All I need is somebody to listen and enjoy it. To love it. To share it with someone else who might like it."

This 10 tracker reminds me of the heady days of Warp and early Mo Wax in that you can really zone into all the tracks, with a feeling of an explorative narrative running throughout...It's a genuine album rather than a collection of beats/cuts. It's not anchored to the past though as it feels very now and engages brilliantly. Deep without being disorientating, immediate without being throwaway. Well worht checking out.
