Bradford’s Noise Of The Valleys presents this special limited edition CD of Leeds music to compliment the 2019 release It Ain’t Peters & Lee - Richard Rouska’s book on the Leeds music scene between the years 1977 and 1987. Amongst the 21 tracks are many bands that represented the punk, goth, post-punk and rock genres that emerged in Leeds during this time period
Gary Cavanagh is now well known for his incredible books that delve into the bands and musical trees of Bradford music and releases, he's a grafter and a do'er and after reading Richard Rouska's great book on the Leeds music scene he realised that there wasn't any great Leeds retrospective comps available so he did one himself! This is a cracking comp with some amazing tracks from the post-punk/DIY/goth scenes from 1978-1987. Highlights for me include the awesome Son Of Sam, Salvation, Danse Chapter and Expelaires.
