It's not often I hear a group of guys challenge sexuality and equality in music... I suppose wee could easily believe this is the domain of feminism / Riot Grrrl. These lads from Dublin are fully breaking my expectations with 'Riot Shock' using hardcore punk to shout about the absudity of religion and heteronormativity in regards to the rights of gay men. It is important to remember and be reminded of the privilage that comes with heterosexuality and to realise how marginalised gay men are by society. A truly refreshing break from the expected with amazing lyrics, highly recommended.
