This is quality. Guitar, organ and a little vocal harmony - simple, stripped-back arrangements in a soulful country / folk-rock style. 'Don't Make Me Wait' is a beautiful, melancholy duet: there are a number of affecting ballads on show. Excellent.

Simply one of the greatest Country/Americana albums of the last couple of decades. It's strength lies in the superior song writing closely tied to the incredible musicianship and vocals. Deep warmth full of emotional depth and powerful gut-wrenching love and sorrow. He makes you FEEL it. Stunning!
