Further Information

With super catchy slabs of helium sourced off kilter machine-funk and pop with sophististyling, Anymoor is the new album from the keytar wielding, Saint Etienne producer, Augustin Bousfield. Receiving accolades from the likes of BBC6Music & BBC Radio 1, as well as writing music for TV, radio and a multitude of remixes (Deary, Dot Allison, Cowtown & more), Augustin is a relentlessly creative musician and producer. Anymoor is a glittery tangle of upside down/inside out synthpop with unusual subject matter and daleside underpins. Where technology meets peat bog, where Wainwright and Sakamoto enjoy a pint of Timothy Taylors. Produced, performed and written entirely (except track 3) by Augustin Bousfield and on vocals, Keytar, synths, Fender Rhodes Piano and Nintendo DS. Backing vocal duties are Anya Faull and Janet Jay Lewinson. The amazing artwork inspired by the trig point near where Augustin lives is by Kenn Goodall. The album features 10 tracks: A Side 1. Who Turned The Lights Out? // Minimal electro vs electricity → single #1, releasing Fri 20th September on download and Ltd. edition Floppy Disk Single 2. Bryte R Dayze // Princey squelch with The System/David Frank aesthetics 3. Desire As // Paddy Mcaloon cover tune via Moroder guided heartbeats and Nintendo DS solo 4. Albatross Silly Albatross // Radical rework of one of Augustin’s Mucky Sailor tunes with remembering breakbeats 5. With The Same Tune // Devo shouting, Italo-house stylings with skippy-ting beats and voices B Side 1. Smash Up The Clocks // Deconstructing time - a purepop tune with synth blips interlocked like a pocket watch 2. You’re Tearing Me Apart // Dark and light - pop versus panic attacks, unusual screaming section. Named after James Dean screamed line in ‘Rebel Without A Cause’ 3. I'm Alice // Grappling with nerve endings and the feelings inspired by ‘Alice in Wonderland’ syndrome 4. Baildon Space Station // Lovers walk the moor under a beautiful burnt sky as the ISS waves from above → single #2, releasing Weds 30th October 5. Brocken Spectre // A giant spectral being stalks the heather and gorse as the sun rises through early morning mist. credits released November 8, 2024 Written, Produced, Performed by Augustin Bousfield Also on Synths, Keytar, Fender Rhodes, Nintendo DS, Melodica, Percussions, Mastering By Ross Halden Backing Vocals On A1, A3, A4, A5, B1, B2, B4, B5, Anya Faull except ** Janet Jay Lewinson Recorded at Earodynamix, Bradford Uk Artwork By Kenn Goodall

Progressive Synth, Keytar Boogie, Frazzled Funk and Chip-tuned out chongers. This is the future, rewired through the past and yet again Augustin has more than proved he can smash through the speakers into your lives. Odd in many respects, far-out freakery in others but amidst the computer crazy chaos there lies some maximum tune-age! Recommended.
