Hello everyone
In the light of current events and the need for social distancing, the shop is now closed for the immediate future. We have been working with skeleton staff while maintaining all the precautions we can to keep the shop sanitized, but now must close for a while for everyone's benefit.
We will continue to operate our mail order for as long as possible, and would encourage our customers to use that - we need your support now more than ever. We are taking the utmost care to keep this as safe as we possibly can. We will of course update you with any changes to the mailorder situation. As you might expect, mailorder is subject to delays at the moment, so please bear with us and we will be with you as soon as we safely can. We are not currently able to send deliveries overseas.
ON TICKETS: As you will be aware, many gigs have been subject to either cancellations or postponements. Where gigs are cancelled and you have bought tickets via our website, then we will process your refund immediately. If you bought them in the shop, then we need to have tickets returned to us so we advise you to hang onto tickets for now until the shop is re-opened.
Some gigs have been postponed, but do not have a new date announced as yet. The Promoters are asking that you hold onto your tickets for now and see whether you are able to make the new date when it is announced. Please be as patient as you can, the Promotion teams are working incredibly hard to ensure that we still get chance to see the artists/bands in our fantastic local venues. When the dates are announced, if you cannot make the new date, then get in touch and with us and we will arrange the refund for you.
We are dealing with a high volume of cancellations and postponements at the moment, but are doing our best to keep up😊 Certainly you can find the latest status on all the events on the Jumbo Records website, where we have had official notification from the Promoters of a change. What you can see emerging is a fantastic programme of events from the summer onwards with many of gigs being re-scheduled and adding to the super line-up that was already in place. So much LIVE MUSIC to look forward to when we can emerge safely from this COVID-19 lock-down.
We are not regularly in the shop at the moment, but you can contact us via email if you have any questions about gigs.
Please keep checking this news space as we will be updating it regularly with relevant information - similarly there will be updates on our various social media channels.
Thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts - it means a lot to us. Everyone needs to support each other as much as they can across the community at this difficult time - please look after yourselves and others.
Cheers,Jumbo
