17.01.25 - JUMBO NEWSLETTER 15.01.25

Hi there!

It's a fantastic week for new albums, a new book from Brian Eno and Bette Adriaanse, AND three of this week's new albums come from bands who will be performing in-stores in our very own shop! We're looking forward to welcoming Pastel on Sunday, The Weather Station on Tuesday and Sophie Jamieson on Thursday the 23rd.

We've just announced a massive in-store gig with Samia, to celebrate the release of new album 'Bloodless'- this one is selling super fast, so if you're a fan, act fast.

And finally, were delighted to now be stocking an ace collection of photography zine books from one of our favourite indie publishers Cafe Royal Books. Weve been big fans for a few years now, so its great to finally stock them. If you dont know Cafe Royal, they're a family-run, independent publishing house in the North of England, focusing on the photography of social and cultural change in Britain, Ireland and beyond, and subject matter is varied, from folk customs, mining and industry, politics, protest and of course music and youth culture. Weve got titles covering Jamaican sound-system culture in the UK, the post-punk years, hip-hop, Factory Records, reggae in London and loads more. Come to our book section and immerse yourself! Or, you can browse our books and magazines online.
