Fanny Lumsden, an ARIA and 8-time Golden Guitar winner, is changing how things are done. Fresh off her debut UK performance at Glastonbury, where she played to a packed crowd, and a successful, sold-out UK & IE tour, Fanny is hitting the ground running with the release of her highly anticipated fourth album, HEY DAWN.

HEY DAWN has just been nominated for Best Country Album at the 2023 ARIA Awards. the album debuted at number one on the ARIA Australian Album charts, Top 10 of global ARIA charts and has held the number one Australian Country spot for five weeks and counting. The album has earned high praise from many outlets, being described as a ‘stunning kaleidoscope’ (STACK MAG) and a ‘triumph’ (Women in Pop), Rolling Stone Magazine gave the album 4 stars, cementing Fanny as ‘undoubtedly the brightest new country star of this era’ (Capital News). The album features standout tracks such as the breathtaking opening track Hey Dawn, the top ten country radio and CMT #1 hit Millionaire, and fan favourites When I Die and Ugly Flowers.

HEY DAWN’s success follows Fanny’s critically acclaimed third studio album, Fallow, which debuted at number ten on the all-genre ARIA charts and topped the Country ARIA charts for two consecutive weeks. Fallow won the Best Country Album at the 2020 ARIA Awards and took home five CMAA Golden Guitar Awards, including Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (Fierce), Video Clip of the Year, and Alt-Country Album of the Year. Fallow was also shortlisted for the prestigious Australian Music Prize top nine albums of 2020.

In addition to her music career, Fanny has appeared on numerous television shows, including Rockwiz, Play School Showtime, and The Set. She is also a Support Act Advocate, a Volunteer firefighter, and a documentary filmmaker. Fanny was named the 2021 Albury Local Woman of the Year and is a leader within the CMAA community.

Fanny runs her own Record Label and Production company, Red Dirt Road, with her husband, Dan Stanley Freeman. They also operate a successful touring brand, The Country Halls Tour, which has sold out over 200+ halls throughout Australia and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Fanny is dedicated to playing live and connecting with audiences. She has toured with renowned artists such as Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers, headlined multiple sold-out theatre tours, and played Americana Fest in Nashville. She has also undertaken ten Country Halls tours across Australia and New Zealand and has just completed a successful theatre tour celebrating her new album HEY DAWN across Australia.
