Come and help us celebrate a series of anniversaries – Indignation Meeting are five years old, Geoffrey Oi!Cott are 20 and Eastfield are 30 - that's 55 years of combined experience, blimey! You'd think one of them would have found that elusive fourth chord by now.. So, expect an afternoon of DIY singalong punk with railways, cricket, beer, trains and a bit more punk thrown in. We’ll have a special one-off cask beer brewed specially for the occasion, and delicious vegan food available – tickets just £10+bf.
EASTFIELD
Eastfield have been playing 3 chord, sing-a-long, simple catchy songs for 30 years now, proudly practising the DIY ethic. Lyrically, they punctuate socio-political comment with associated references from the world of railways, adverts, railways,1970's TV programmes, railways, first-hand experiences and railways, making sure it always remains relevant - or not. That’s what it says on their website anyway, and who are we to argue?
GEOFFREY OI!COTT
.. made their debut for Yorkshire at the Fenton in December 2006, so they’ve been shouting about cricket for twenty years now - owzat! They’re outnumbered by the railway punks for this one but we’re sure they can rise to the occasion and knock us for six. New EP Chin Music and compilation CD ‘t20 – Singles, Extras and Leg Byes’ both available now!
INDIGNATION MEETING
Conceived by singer/drummer/songwriter Peter Hirst when he was just ten years old, Indignation Meeting’s first gig was November 2021, so we’re celebrating the fifth anniversary of their melodic punky tunes reflecting Peter’s passion for railways, trains, social justice and teddies. Peter is joined by his Dad Michael on green guitar, fellow middle-aged punk Keith on black guitar and former Bloodstock poster boy Hugo on bass, with Peter’s mum Sally & sister Heather providing extra backing vocals. They recorded their third album earlier this year – details to follow soon(ish).
