Once again Habibi Funk delivers the goods. This time they put together a compilation of Moroccan gwana music by Attarazat Addahabia & Faradjallah that flirts with funk, rock and psychedelia. Hypnotic drums crash about whilst the funky guitar lets loose over a tight female backing choir. The guitar work recalls that of John Lee Hooker yet obviously more lo-fi and with a distinct spiritual quality. You got to hear it to believe it, check it out!
